    BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHURCH

Living Water Church began as a Bible Study in the home of Phil and Peggy Gibson in 1985.  The church was formed on Mother's Day 1986 and moved to it's present location on February 1, 1990.  Pastor Phil and Peggy have embraced the calling God has placed on their lives.  The Gibson's have lived in Burleson for 34 years and are celebrating 44 years of marriage.

Living Waters Ministries International is celebrating 23 years of ministry to the people of the Burleson area,
and 15 years of ministry in Mexico, China, and India.

    OUR MISSION STATEMENT

A local church with an international vision.
A spiritual home where you can be nurtured, trained, equipped and sent to do the work of
Jesus in your home, state, and your nation and into all the world.

    THE VISION OF THE CHURCH

PROBLEM:
My people have committed two sins:
       They have forsaken me,
       the spring of living water,
       and have dug their own cisterns,
       broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
Jeremiah 2:13

    PERSON:
On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice,
"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said,
streams of living water will flow from within him."
John 7:37, 38

PURPOSE:
I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it,
'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' "
Ezekiel 37:8, 9
